Reflctions

Today would have been my eldest brother Alan's 61st Birthday. He'd have hated being in his sixties! I hope he's having a bloody good party wherever he is!
I have to go for my routine eye-test in a couple of hours. I just know they're going to tell me that I need stronger reading glasses. That'll make me feel really old! I'm feeling old anyway and that won't help!
I went out with some of the girls from work last week as one of them was leaving and we were 'celebrating' her departure. I felt really old that evening too! We had a meal, which was very pleasant and then 'hit' one of the clubs in Hertford! Well, if there's one thing guaranteed to make a 45 year-old feel old it's a nightclub! I'm sure most of the girls and boys in there were pre-pubescent! And, the noise they call 'music' - well!! God, I really do sound like my father! And I really don't understand how these 'youngsters' can afford to go out boozing all night. It costs a small fortune! I easily got through £50 and that's cleaned me out for the month now! Maybe one day I'll get it!
